OBJECTIVE

Wal-Tek was contracted to receive, deliver & install 175 workstations, 20 offices & ancillary out in Decatur, IL utilizing one of our travelling crews. Due to construction delays, we had to load 12 semi's worth of product onto the customer's trailers to have them on drop trailers on their facility for billing & legal purposes by the end of the year.

SOLUTION

The first step of the project was loading their trailers in a cohesive manner to maximize efficiency once our crews started the install. This required an internal takeoff reviewing the floor plans, packing lists and order sheets to strategically load these trailers by counts of specific product in specific areas of the floor plan. Once the project commenced, we sent our straight trucks to shuttle product off of these trailers. An internal takeoff meeting with our assigned account manager, operations manager, project coordinator and lead installer prior to the job starting, set the tone on the first day of the project. Completed ahead of schedule for our client.
